Well since I got up this morning, I have gotten quite a lot done on the rewrites. Though I am still working on chapter 4 which is still giving a lot of trouble. I don't have any idea what is making this so difficult, the rest of this the words flowed out of me like water. Yet here I am having a very hard time getting the words to even trickle out of me. I think its a sign that I am just getting tired of writing, but that I know is not the case, my mind is just being lazy.
I slept well again last night being exhausted helps with that I suppose. For now however, back to work.

Day 2 of chapter 4 rewrite
Well it looks like chapter 4 is going to take long to write than I had at first thought. I wrote it up and after giving it a read, I found that it just wasn't going to work. So here I am on day 2 of rewriting it, and it's still not working right. I am at a complete loss because I have no idea what will work for this chapter. I should just rewrite it and leave it until I get all the way finished, but I like the challenge of making something like this work because I obviously love writing this.
So I'm sitting here on my 5th pot of coffee, with that hazelnut creamer that I love when I am writing a lot. Sort of wishing for a little Bailey's to put in there! When I got an email from my agent who is asking me if I want to do a public reading for the first 6 chapters! I had to ask: "Are you fucking kidding me?! I haven't gotten chapter 4 rewritten yet and you want me to do what?"
I seriously doubt that I will have this done by the time I'm supposed to be doing this live reading. I always thought that was saved until the book was almost complete, not when you only have 10 chapters done and they are still being edited. I guess my agent is just stupid, because I am no where near ready for a reading of this book. I need at least 5 more months until I am near being finished.
So until then I am going to be working diligently on getting another 15 chapters written. And I hope that the first 3 chapters that I have submitted for the public preview get a warm reception.

Fae Fire preview
Ladies and Gentlemens: here it is, the very first chapter preview of my first novel "Fae Fire". I hope you enjoy it, as much as I have writing it.
Chapter 1:
It would have been better to have remained hidden in the night shadows, going completely unnoticed by the passersby. Yet for some reason there is always someone out there watching, waiting, hoping that the time would be right to make their move. Though that would have been the easier path to choose compared to what was ahead. At times like these I am almost glad that I have remained in the shadows, gone unnoticed, passed by. Now I can’t say that, for I have been found, exposed and left vulnerable.
I am Shivy, a watcher of sorts, left vulnerable and exposed. It is now that I wish for the solitude of the shadows to which I was found. Before you can begin to judge, you should look at the world around you and take note of your surrounds. That’s what I had to do before I came to this point. I have to make this lighter than what it is, at least that’s what my friend Merri said I should do, but I rarely listen to her. So I will make this as dry as I possibly can.
It was some years ago, when I met with the person that I loathe and hunt, that brought me to write this. If you only knew what lay in wait in those shadows where I used to walk, you would understand fear and hate. Then again that is what one gets when one is the flame in the night that draws forth those of the same spirit. It is what one gets for being the last of ones own kind. For what those that don’t know, and should never know is that the Fae walk in many guises. As I said that my friends Merri and Talula are the only two that know of this secret and have kept it to themselves. I suppose that I should at least go farther back than that and explain a bit more.
It has been many centuries since I first came to the mortal world that you call Earth, so many of the details have been lost to memory and the ages. However, I want to focus on the fact that Oberon was not there, he never truly existed, humans made him up to placate Shakespearean plays. Our Queen, may she guide my hand as I write this, Querellia sent me here to find love and experience it, among other things. It is possible that her motives were, how do I put this delicately, to watch the mortal world and learn. I still don’t fully understand what it is that I am supposed to learn. However, I have learned quite a few things over the last six hundred years that would curl the hairs on the back of your neck, but that is for later.
For now, just know that I have come here and am writing what I have learned in that time. I have just now begun to see what it is that Querellia has sent me here to do. To say this has been easy on me, is a mere understatement that has led to misunderstanding.
Queen Querellia made sure that when I came here that I would have just about everything that I would need in my undertaking. Granted, she didn’t give me too much, for she didn’t want me to be spoiled or above my station. Though I must say, she could have given me a better wardrobe and some male servants to attend to me. However, I shall not complain about that until after I return to our world. I jest, for I haven’t complained about anything she has done for me over the centuries. Even if I was born before mortals walked the earth, and before our world became desolate of joy.
When I came to this world, I couldn’t speak English, I could only speak Fae. I found it extremely difficult to adapt to this, but had to overcome. It took me several years to do this, and am grateful for the experience.
“Shivy, you better not tell them too much about what you are.” Merri said to me from across the living room of the apartment that her fiancĂ©, herself and I shared.
She is right of course, but I know if I don’t tell you about myself that I am leaving too much out of the story. I digress of course, but this is the backdrop, and more will come so be patient.
“I’m telling the story that needs to be told. You know I have to do this.” I told her, with a devious grin on my face. It’s not often that I get the chance to smile these days.
Ah, a detail that I should make you aware of. Being Fae, I’m not only long lived, but I have a very weak emotional barrier, that when broke I lose most if not all of my gifts. It is a weakness that I have only now begun to acknowledge. This is not only something that affects me, but all Fae. I’m not a Faerie, not in any sense of the people. I’m Faeorelyn, we are friends to the Faeries and elves in my world. The only thing that we have in common with the Faeries is that we come from a world of green grasses and trees. Though I should point out that I alone of all the Faeorelyn have the pointed ears of an elf.
Again I find myself talking about the inconsequential. When I came to this world of mortal beings, I had to learn to speak the language of the people that immediately filled my surroundings. These people frightened me, they all seemed in such a hurry to be somewhere at no particular time at all. Which to someone such as myself, made absolutely no sense at all. All of this I observed in the shadows, which seemed to be everywhere. For me this was the perfect place to live and hide.
From hiding I could observe all the habits of a people that baffled me, yet I had to attract those of similar spirit. I suppose you could call me a stalker if that is what pleases you the most. However, that isn’t what I was doing in those shadows, I wasn’t following a celebrity or any particular individual. I was watching and learning from what I saw. At the moment however, I am still slightly confused about these people that inhabited the world around me.
For the moment, however, I shall describe the shadows that I took up residence in. For some this would seem almost dreary even down right frightening. To the average person, this place looked almost like a dark alley, with the occasional hanging street light casting an eerie glow about the place. You see at the time, their wasn’t any electricity, just the coal and gas fuel lamps. I wished Thomas Edison would have gotten that electric light bulb on the market already. For gas and coal smelled and made the green growing things die and fade. I was grateful for the light at the moment anyway, something that I could focus my senses on. It really did cause my energy to fade slightly, because fire was after all still dangerous in this world as it was in mine.
“Are you telling them about that stupid alley analogy that you used when you told me about it?” Merri asked from her chair.
“No, why would I do that twice?” I lied, still with that devious smile crossing my lips.
“You better not be lying, Booty! Or do I need to tie you up and spank your little ass?” Talula said from the computer, Merri had her on voice chat over the Internet.
As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted. The smell of the gas, made me vomit on the cold hard ground beneath my feet. You would think that I would have been so scared that I would have returned to my world and never venture forth again. That was not the case in this instance. Again, I should explain a bit more about the sensitivities of my kind. The Fae have a very sensitive sense of smell, hearing and sight. That is why the smell of this foul odor was making me vomit, it was so overpowering that I couldn’t see straight, I couldn’t even use what power I had to quench the flame that was burning the lamps. I just had to overcome the sensations and the bile rising in the back of my throat.
After a few minutes of retching dryly, I got to my feet once more and walked further into the dark alley. Oh, before I continue, you should know that I can make it seem like I am not even in a space that I am occupying, so keep that in mind. In the darkness of this place, I could walk freely without being seen by those with prying eyes.
“Are you telling them about that one thing you can do?!” Talula and Merri asked me at the same time.
I laughed a little bit before I responded to that particular question. They have both seen that particular ability in action on several occasions, but this is the first time either of them have openly acknowledged it in my presence.
“Yes! How’d you both know that I was writing about that anyway? I mean seriously, are you both watching my screen as I write this or something?” I said through a chuckle.
“No, we just have to know what you’re writing because we know that you wrote us in.” they both said laughingly.
I had to laugh again at that, I keep forgetting that they know me so well. After all they rescued me from one mishap or another through the more recent years.
For now, I will continue with the past leading to the present. I sometimes ramble on about such inconsequential matters. I will have to change that sometime soon.
The alley, being that this was six hundred years ago to the day. It is funny how one can remember such things over the passage of linear time. I may be ageless, but I have been here for so long that this particular adventure seems to always continue and morph that even I get confused. Such is the way of things in the mortal world.
You see, for me this is rather difficult, so difficult in fact that I can barely find the words that are needed.
When I got to the end of the alley I found that this particular place that had remained hidden from passersby, was left unchanged by progress and industry. Something that I found to be of unusual interest, in my curiosity. It would be here that I would make my home until I needed to find something of use to me.
This alley, yes covered with shadows, smelt of the gas and coal fuel, urine and refuse that normally would have been carried away already. Here even the sun didn’t touch with its warming glows, but I have found that even now, that I would have to use some magic to take care of the smells and to bring in more shadows. That would be one of the first things I would take care of soon.
“Don’t forget to tell them about that thing that followed you!” Merri exclaimed.
“What thing would that be?” I asked with a confused look on my face.
“That thing. You know.” she said
“No, not really.” I answered. She was pulling my leg, or so I was beginning to think.
“I’m joking, fuck.” she said at last.
I knew she was yanking my chain. I have to admit, I am still learning how to use the language to my benefit, and this was one of those moments where I think I am using it right.
I had to use my magic on this, and I really was looking for an opportunity to use some here. However, I was worried that someone would sense that someone was using magic. For in my world, when magic is used everyone knows that someone is changing something in such a way that it could impact our very society.
For the time leading up until this point, I simply sat back and blended in with my immediate surroundings. The first five hundred seventy-five years went by without incident, until that fateful day when I came across the one person that would lead to my having to flee my home.
“Did you just skip five hundred and seventy five years?” Merri asked me.
“Yes and I’m sure you know why.” I responded quietly from the couch.
“Oh, I forgot nothing happened really during that time.” she said after she slapped her forehead.
The year was 2004, a mere four human years ago, I was watching from my hiding place as I have done for all those years that I have been here. I had been spotted, seen and exposed. No amount of magic could protect me at this point. There were only a handful of options left to me, one of which I wasn’t sure would be wise on my part. Thankfully, my five foot eleven inch frame was built for running, but not quickly. I was in a position where I had to either fight or flee for freedom.
“You’re talking about that day now, I can tell.” Merri said quietly to me.
“Yeah, I still fear that that man will find me and try to siphon my powers away. Humans do that don’t they?” I replied.
“Great you fucker, now all I can picture is a dude with a straw trying to attack your asshole!” she said laughing.
I had to laugh too, that was a funny mental picture, that seemed to be spilling from her mind to mine. I still can’t shake that image from my head.
Chapter 2
I fled to the only place that seemed safe at the time, and that was North. Granted it was colder in the North, even for a Fae it was unbearably cold. I knew that when I got to my next hiding place I would have to take some serious action to protect myself and my new hideout. Hmmm, hideout seems to be to strong a word sort of gangster in a way.
Yes I do remember the 1920’s well. No, I didn’t have relations with Al Capone, he was too into the sheep disease. Don’t ask, you really don’t want to know.
The woodlands of a place called Wisconsin, seemed like a good place to hide, since no one really goes there unless its hunting season. I thought it would be worth while idea to cast several of my protection incantations and spells so that I could stay safe if for only a little while. However, I needed to find a more secluded spot, and make sure that I wasn’t seen or watched.
“Lorntae matrune dhru ekta. Ystoe bhean llewn awon.” I began as I was drawing pictographs upon the ground. This was the beginning of my incantations, as I had to summon the Keeper of the Trees from my world to this one. No sooner had I completed the last of the glyphs, when I felt the surge of power stir around me.
“You know you said you were going to show me how to do those glyphs.” Merri said from behind me.
“Bhasand’oq.” I replied to her.
“Dhun kratu bhomtu ektana!” she exclaimed.
“Well that’s the first time I’ve ever been called that by a human.” I said laughingly.
“What did I just call you?” she asked while chuckling.
“A cross between Jesus Christ’s rotting penis and Mary Magdalene’s burning vagina.” I replied laughing hysterically. “But we don’t know who Jesus Christ or Mary Magdalene are.” I added quickly.
I sometimes forget how human she really is, I know that she means well and is trying to help me write this in such a way that people will understand.
The power could be visibly seen in the air around me, and I’m almost certain that it could be felt. The power that I had summoned however, couldn’t been seen or even touched by human hands, at least not in country, as I have learned is called America. Anyway, I had to continue and give my intentions to the Keeper or else I would be completely on my own in the mortal worlds.
“Bhondruo lekrap quendoc. Keeper of the Trees, I plead for your aide, as I am in fear for my life. I have fled my former and previous home. I ask of thee to hide me and keep me safe from my pursuer, I ask this of thee o’ Great Lord of the Woods. I am here in the name of Querellia the Queen of the Fae.” I said to the ethereal tree lord before me.
“Shivy, prince of the Faeorelyn, I am aware of your task. I shall aide you, young one, and will gift to you sanctuary here in my realm until one of pure spirit and intent comes forth and protects you and guides you to your goal.” replied the Keeper.
For the time being, I was assured to be kept hidden and safe from my pursuer. I was in fear and this was the only resort left to me.
“My Lord, I thank thee for your protection and gift. Yet I must ask one more question. Who is my pursuer?” I asked in humble tones.
“Your pursuer is one that seeks only power, and the death of the one that he found within the confines of shadow. He will not stop until you are safely returned to your Queen.” responded the Keeper.
“Will I ever be safe from this human?” I asked.
“Not for a time, you will flee here as well.” the Tree God replied.
‘For now you will be safe, my prince. Cast your magics here and know you will have time.’ the Keeper said directly into my mind as he departed.
“Did you mention the Tree Lord yet?” Merri and Talula asked in unison.
“I just did actually. Good timing huh?” I said to the both of them.
“Goody I like when you talk about him.” Merri said.
“I do as well, sister of spirit. I wouldn’t be here still if it weren’t for his aide.” I responded.
“I missed that.” Talula said.
“Yes you sure did.” Merri told her.
I had to laugh at that, since it was so unlike Talula to miss something as important as this conversation. Then again she was probably distracted by some new toy.
“Well damn it, Booty, I shall have to smack that little ass of yours good and hard.” Talula said.
“My dear, I simply enjoy it when you talk dirty to me” I responded without thought.
All the while Merri is trying so very hard not to fall out of her chair from sheer laughter. What can I say my friends are freaks. I enjoy their company, for this reason, yet I would so love to kick them from time to time.
“Hey, shut up over there!” Talula said to Merri, like she could tell what she was thinking before she got the opportunity to say anything.
While these two heckle each other I will continue to tell my story. At this point, I have done all my casting and created some comforts to remind me of home. Being Faeorelyn, however, I have limited magic to use, and even more so when it comes to being alone in the woods. So I had to use what knowledge
of creation I had and actually build what I needed myself, by hand!
“Are you writing about having to do manual labor?” Merri asked with a smirk on her face.
“Yeah, it’s a scary thought isn’t it?” I queried.
“No shit. I don’t think I have ever seen you actually do anything like that, much less read about it.” she responded.
We shared a good laugh at that, since Merri nor Talula couldn’t see me actually doing any work manual or otherwise. I’m sure even you can’t picture this either.
So I had to build myself a few comforts, while in my would be exile. Though I would have asked my dear Queen for some attendants to come to my aide, but I knew that was forbidden. I could hope though couldn’t I? It would be interesting enough to have a few good men with me though.
“That has to be the sluttiest thing, you’ve written so far!” Merri said from next to me.
“I’m aware of that, hells that was the intention.” I said dryly.
Looking back on this particular experience in this woodland waste, I have to smile a little bit.
I hadn’t been in my new home for more than a couple months, when it seems that I have been found by my mysterious pursuer. However, I had my protections in place plus the protection of the Keeper on my side. Still my mysterious stalker, was here, spying me from across my protected threshold. Again I was being forced to flee or confront.
“Who are you?!” I yelled.
“Come to me, and be my slave.” replied the stranger.
“I think not, human. I shall not be held in thrall to the likes of a mortal.” I said with pure rage in my voice.
“Then you shall parish! Yet I thank you for confirming what I first thought of you when I first spied you in your dark hiding hole.” the stranger said vehemently in reply.
“Come then, if you can. For I shall not be quelled here or by you.” I said flatly, as I let my magic flow through me.
Come at me he did, though he didn’t get too far. For my protection spells and the shielding that the Keeper placed around my sanctuary, literally threw him back. I simply watched this arrogant human try and try to attack me, without success. His next attempt would prove to be entertaining.
“What magic do you possess that I cannot penetrate?” he asked angrily.
“Shali kutaen tra vastu!” I screamed in my native tongue.
The look on the stalker’s face was one of pure hate, one that I would have to become familiar.
“Is that the first encounter with the ‘cock-blow’?” Merri asked.
“Yeah, I really don’t like the idea of writing that. I mean it sends shivers down my back.” I replied. The encounter really does send shivers down my back, that’s not the right word. See I still have a difficult time with this language. Oh, my spine! I knew that’s what I was looking for.
“Don’t forget that he’s still after you, Shivy.” she said as her last remark.
“Please don’t remind me of that.” I said.
After all she was right, my deadly pursuer was still after me, and I still had to find out he is.
Chapter 3
As I sit here and recall in vivid detail about my life in the mortal world, I find a few things lacking. Once I had to think abstractly on this matter, or perhaps I just hungry. So I went to the food room, and made me something to eat. I have to learn how to use the food cooker sometime.
As I sit down and eat my plate of cheese and fruit, I contemplate the events better. Ah yes, my stalker. I was growing irritable and anxious, for I know that he will make another attempt on my life.
The woods were no longer safe, and it wasn’t the appointed time for my to flee. I was worried and scared. I must summon the Keeper again, and ask for the advice pertaining to my next course of action. After all, this was a blatant and open attack, and attempt on my sanctuary. I cast my incantation of the Keeper. I waited, not very long, but I still waited. When my Lord of the Woods arrived, I knelt before him as I do in my world.
“O’ wise Lord of the Woods, I hope you have seen what has transpired here. I am now afraid, as my pursuer has made an open attack on me in this sacred of places. I seek your advice. Is it now the appointed time?” I asked.
“Young Prince, no I have not. That your pursuer should make his presence known to you here, was unforeseen. It is the appointed time to venture forth out into the world. For I have brought word from Querellia. A home has been made for you. Go now, journey south, you will know when you are there. There is one who awaits you.” said the Keeper.
“I shall do as you have advised, my Lord. When shall I depart?” was all that I could manage.
“In three days time, you shall depart under the cover of shadow and night. You shall sleep during the day for two days. Be well, my Prince.” were the Keeper’s departing words.
“Did you mention that the Keeper told you that you were to meet with that guy again along the way?” Merri asked.
“Damn it, I almost forgot. Oh well, I’ll get to it soon enough.” I replied.
The three days passed without incident, since I passed the time in seclusion, mostly hidden in a small cave that I found after I set up my protections about the woods. Now, I was forced to flee again, and I had to take down all the protections I have put into place.
It became mostly apparent to me, that this would be the time that I should be preparing to encounter this mortal, who was now my enemy. I wasn’t ready, and I am sure the Gods knew it. Yet I had to give it a go, and since there wasn’t room for failure. I was just about prepared to depart the Northern Woods, I was grateful for all that the Keeper of the Trees had done for me. And now that it was time to depart, and continue my journey and my continued hiding. To say that I wasn’t looking forward to this next chapter of my life in the human world, would be almost close to a proverbial understatement of the millennium. When looking back on all of this, I knew deep within my heart, that this was what I was meant to do.
I set out the evening of the third day, I made sure to pack some things that I had found in the woods to keep as a reminder of my short life in the woodland wastelands. I was glad again, I felt the peace of my world that I had left behind. Am I angry at my Queen for sending me here? No, I can’t be angry for performing my duty for my Queen who has given me practically everything. Granted though being here, in my eighth hundredth year in existence, I am still young. This was only the beginning for trying times, and I had to take some action.
“Oooo I want to read some.” Merri called from the waiting room chair. There was a mid-evening emergency concerning her shoulder. It wasn’t the first time since she found me that her shoulder decided it would be in good taste to play up on her. And this time was no different, just that it caused her more pain than usual. In this instance, though I actually had to go with to make sure that something catastrophic didn’t occur. I took my usual precautions and prepared myself incase I ran into that deadly human.
I but my story would only then be half told, and left empty. I had only just left the secrecy of the woods, when I was met by a creature that could only have come from the world of the Fae. I knew that this must be a gift from the Keeper of the Woods, something that would keep me safe. I am not exactly sure how selkies could come from my world to this one. But I am glad that this one did, because it gave me warning in its burbling speech.
“Be warned, my prince. The Fae Stalker awaits you ahead, he has others like him as companions.” the selkie said into my mind. I knew this to be true, if he wanted me dead as badly as he claimed.
“I shall heed your warning, my lady. For I have already encountered him once before I departed this sacred place.” I replied.
The selkie princess departed as quickly as she arrived, with only a small splash of water. I was smiling broadly from seeing a selkie in the mortal world, it just wasn’t something one saw on a regular basis. For selkies were usually found in the west, this was just a bit too far out of the way for one of her kind. So I knew that there was danger approaching quickly. This was becoming more than just a habit, but more like a second nature.
‘My Queen, guide me!’ I thought to myself.
My journey was beginning to feel almost monotonous and dull. Somewhere ahead, waited my stalker, the unusually forceful being that thought it had the chance to destroy me and take my power for his own. I had to admit, I did find this almost as amusing as the Sheo’quenas ritual that all Faeorelyn people had to endure at a young age, even younger than I currently am. Though this was seriously dangerous, and it really wasn’t a laughing matter. However, I am slightly fearless, simpler things scare me whereas death doesn’t.
The Fae Stalker waited in hiding among the trees along the path that was near the edge of the forest. The city that outlaid the forest, was the closest thing to civilization and even then that was several hours away, but yet could be seen from the forest edge. Here the Stalker knew that the Keeper of the Trees power couldn’t be extended. This would be all to easy of a kill. The only real problem left to be addresses was that of his companions.
“Be ready when this Fae draws near. He is slippery and will use his magic against you. These Faeries are easy prey!” the Stalker began elegantly, drawing the attention of his companions.
“You all will know him when you see him, for he is seven feet tall and has razor sharp claws that can rend a man in twain.” he continued weaving magic of his own, cause his companions to react with fear and anger and hate. This was too easy, using all the power that he thought wise to expend. Rolling the minds of his companions drew a wicked grin on the Stalker’s face.
The Stalker looked towards the tree line, and began to pace. His six foot four frame, seemed to hunch forward slightly in the fading light of the sun. The muscles in his jaw clenched as he thought of the tortures that he would use upon his prey, something that would extract the power and pure spirit from the Fae.
“That will do nicely.” the Stalker said to no one in particular as he devised his plan of action.
The others prepared their weapons, which consisted mostly of dart guns and nets. Since the Stalker, had told them that is all they would need, but they brought some guns and swords just in case. Yet, they were worried that they would need any of these weapons.
“Shivy, why did you have to put in the hunters?” Merri asked.
“Because they are crucial to the story at this point, aren’t they. I need to put in what I went through to get here. Since most of the details are rather boring I could just skip the whole thing.” I replied in a mood. These constant interruptions were beginning to irritate me.
“But that would make it boring. Try telling people what you really look like. I mean that dude said you were like gigantic or something.” she pointed out.
“Good point, though you need to back off so I can do this.” I told her, without remorse.
As I mentioned I am five foot eleven, not all that tall for a Fae. Considering that most Fae are about four foot two, I’m rather tall because of my mixed breed. However, that might be my only saving grace. I mean since I am rather tall, I can blend in with the people of this world all that much easier. It would seem that Querellia had chosen wisely, when she sent me here. Though, I can honestly say that being chased by some rabid bull of a human. Considering that for almost four months this person hasn’t relented in his pursuit. I have considered just rendering myself invisible to make my journey, but such a haphazard attempt my draw him like a magnet.
Now would be bad time to tell you that found my stalker very attractive. I was beginning to think that it would be worth the effort to turn him from his dark task towards my whims. After all the last man that I had been with was Fae, and those relationships don’t last more than a month at most. However, this human, as mysterious to me as I am to him, just piqued my interests more than you could ever know. I was in a very awkward position, and I had to decide my course of action very carefully.
For if I was to use my power on him, I fear that I would be trapped in the human world for the rest of my long lived days. If I was going to do this, then I had better act before time ran out. Either way I saw it, I was definitely fucked. Is that the human term for it? I hope so.
I gathered up what power to control my magic that I could, and let loose the one spell that I used about nine hundred years ago. I called up all the energy of the earth mother, and sent it out towards my stalker, to turn him from his foul task to wanting nothing more than me as his loving master. I know, that sounds perverted, but you have to think outside of yourself for a moment. It was the only solution to a plaguing problem that would only get worse if left unchanged.
This was something that even most people haven’t taken into consideration, my stalker was unnaturally handsome, standing at a rather tall six foot. It was his eyes that attracted me to him, they were a misty shade of grey, the type of eyes that captivate a raging vorat and turn him away from his path. I beheld his eyes in my mind, and felt unsettling calm. The kind of calm that even I couldn’t generate on the most peaceful of days. The muscles in my groin began to twitch at the thought of my frustrating pursuer. Hey! Don’t get all pervy on me, damns you! You can’t act like that hasn’t happened to you before, especially the females, they get erections too, well in my world at least they do.
There I was….
“Oi! What are you doing?!” Merri called from the other end of the house. There was a look of consternation upon her face as I turned in her direction. I don’t know what was bothering her so much that I literally had to run from end to end of the small trailer that had started to become home. Now that I had to run again from that stalking asshole that almost had me twice now. I had become careless and lax in the way that I had set up my protections, that the walls around me had become fragile and started to crack. I hadn’t really given it too much thought, but what if this fool of a human would be the one that my great Queen Querellia had said that I should find?
“Have you told them about your Queen’s chambers or the Seelie Court?” Merri asked suddenly.
“No. Do you really think I should?” I responded.
“I don’t know, I’m going to hop sickle” she said back.
Merri has been sick off and on over the last couple weeks, I was really starting to worry about her health. Not that I couldn’t heal her, but you know the deal with my magic. I was starting to feel the effects of permanent magic loss, which wouldn’t be good if I left it unchecked.
“Mer, maybe you should go to hospital. You’re looking very unhealthy, I mean you look spotty, your hair has snakes in it. I think they can fix you up.” I said, trying not to laugh because she really did look like hells keeper.
The look upon her stricken face, was one of extreme discomfort. I had thought perhaps she was having another early period, but it could have been gas. How was I supposed to know that it was food poisoning, I told her not to eat at that Korean restaurant but she never listens to common sense sometimes. Yet, we still love her.
